OK so I am a sucker for new technology so go and try this new thing called McLinky. . .A new tool to use on blogs and whatnot. :)

In MckMama's own words: "There’s a great new “linky” service available and I wanted to let you know about it. It’s called MckLinky – www.mcklinky.com. After realizing the need for a new, reliable linky capability, Brent Riggs and MckMama got together to create a free, easy to use linky service for all their blog friends.
MckLinky is a free link list feature that allows you to do include lists of other blog links like MckMama does on Not Me! Monday. You can use MckLinky any time you want your blog readers to leave a list of links on your blog. It’s simple, reliable, free...and loads of MckFun!"

Happy Mother's Day
How is it possible that my baby is turning into a little man seemingly overnight? He laughs at my jokes and asks (not really) for what he wants. And I just think he's the best thing ever. I'm so happy to know him. Happy Mother's Day to me!

Weekend and Sun!

So glad to see the bright sun (even with the cooler temps)! Reid and I enjoyed a fun day just hanging out and laughing. We continue to work on sitting up and rolling over and have come to love and enjoy each other's company. I'm so glad to know him, be his mom.

Dad and Reid have been watching basketball this afternoon -- go ACC teams. What happened to Wake Forest?
Tomorrow sissy comes for a visit. The end to a perfect weekend.

Ready for the weekend

Today the weather was beautiful -- a promise of Spring on the way. I'm so ready for warmer temperatures and sunshine. I'm also eager to begin running longer distances again. Summer is the perfect time for that. Aunt Trish comes to visit Reid this weekend. WAHOOOO! It will be great to see her. Friday can't come soon enough.

Happy St. Patricks Day

We all dressed in green for the holiday and Reid enjoyed some festivities at school. Today, Reid tried squash (loved it) and we practiced rolling over. . .still not happening. He still tries to sit up, so he will probably sit before rolling over.

Here are some photos of him eating peas -- his favorite. Too funny. And a photo with daddy. We are so lucky to have a happy boy.

Where is Spring?
It's hard to imagine how quickly time flies and how much Reid grows each day, each week, each month. We can blink and he will be a year old. And this time last year, we were guessing if he'd be a boy, a girl, have red hair, green eyes? Reid is slowly growing hair (I tease that he's so busy he doesn't have time to grow hair) but the verdict is in: I think we have a red-headed little boy with baby blue eyes. Now can we get some curly hair to go with that? Either way, this child could not be more loved.

Ken and I both look forward to Spring and watching him learn to crawl, scoot and get into all sorts of mischief (remind me I said I was looking forward to it).

Ken continues to train for his next race, which is in Ohio at the end of May. His buddy, Owen, and a few other good men from Winston-Salem will travel to compete in a three day triathlon. He, as always, is looking forward to it. And Reid is helping him train (see photo). I shudder to think Reid may like doing these races as well. What have I gotten myself into?

The Bushes enjoyed a fun-filled New Year's Eve at our friends, the Calverts. We enjoyed some great food and good laughs -- a great way to start the new year. Now it's back to work! Where does time go? We are looking forward to our year of firsts with baby Reid. Happy New Year everyone!
